Description:

Iterative Consulting is an Albuquerque-based technology consulting firm that specializes in developing interactive, web-based data visualization and data analysis tools. We are seeking a talented .NET Web Developer who enjoys learning new technologies, solving challenging problems, and building quality software.

As a member of our team, you will have the opportunity to work in a highly collaborative, agile environment where you will be expected to contribute your ideas, take ownership of tasks, manage expectations, and meet deadlines.

Because this position involves remote team members on flexible schedules, strong communication skills and self-motivation will be essential to success.

Responsibilities:

  •       Develop impactful, high quality web applications as a member of a small, agile team.
  •       Participate via webcam in our regular stand-up and sprint planning meetings.
  •       Follow our coding standards to produce readable, well-documented code.
  •       Maintain regular hours, and accurately track your time and work.
  •       Take a self-directed approach to learning new skills.
  •       Control, meet, and exceed expectations.

Required Experience/Skills:

  •       Experience developing web applications using C# and ASP.NET MVC
  •       Experience with version control (We use git and mercurial.)
  •       Experience consuming REST APIs
  •       Experience with relational databases, SQL, and stored procedures
  •       Proficiency in Javascript, HTML5, and CSS3
  •       Very strong written and verbal communication skills
  •       Experience with the following would be a plus: ReactJS, AngularJS, Ruby on Rails, NodeJS / Express, Ionic /      Cordova, d3.js, Java, Scala, Play! Framework, jQuery, JIRA

Job Summary: Performs analysis, development and maintenance of business applications. Analyzes user requirements to define project scope, objectives, and ROI. Designs, programs, and tests business applications. Creates clear and concise documentation for applications, including development and end-user documentation. Provides technical leadership on major projects. Mentors Software Developers I & II.

 

Primary Responsibilities of the Job: • Understands and employs software development methodologies. • Analyzes user requirements and publishes requirements documentation. • Designs applications and creates specifications. • Works with other programmer/analysts to design interfaces to other applications or systems. • Develops and documents new business applications. • Enhances and documents existing applications. • Provides application support for Production and Customer Services. • Tests business applications including preparation of test cases and test data. • Works with a Business Systems Analyst to prepare on-line context-sensitive help. • Assists in the training of business application end-users for newly developed or enhanced business applications. • Schedules and prioritizes workload with supervisor and completes scheduled tasks on time. • Reviews technical materials to maintain currency with industry trends and programming technologies. • May be required to work irregular or overtime hours. • Reviews and assists the work of Programmer 1, 2, or 3. • Provides technical leadership on large projects. • Assist in the development of process flows, an excellent understanding of customers systems and processes with Desired, Nice to haves, Story Boards, Risks and etc. • Engaging in change control in order to prevent project “scope creep” • Providing status reports on projects and deliverables • Other duties as assigned
